This year's upcoming exhibition, ‘Future Feature’ focuses exclusively on studioMAP's teenagers, showcasing twenty-six forward-thinking energetic and dedicated teen art students. The exhibition of paintings, drawings, graphic illustrations, and digital artworks confirms their skills, honed through the studioMAP Art-with-a-Map curriculum. This unique studioMAP program, assists and guides all their students to develop a self-reliant, skilful and distinct mark-making fluency that expresses their individuality and visual art vocabulary and expression.
‘Future Feature’ significantly presents the teenagers in the midst of their young emergence, offering a glimpse into their diverse and hopeful perspectives and proud steps on their own art journeys towards confidence and future artistic maturity. Come along, bring a friend and enjoy!

Since 1995, studioMAP has been instrumental in developing the talents of local young artists in Canberra and the region. studioMAP offers a progressive art education within M16 Artspace community art centre, under the guidance of its founding artist and director, Jeff Skewes. studioMAP has been based at M16 Artspace since 2007, providing art tuition in painting, drawing and illustration to many hundreds of Canberra region young art students attending the studio after school and on the weekends.
