About the M16 Artspace DIAP Project
What is the M16 Artspace DIAP project?
M16 Artspace wants to make sure everyone can be part of what we do
To help with this, we are writing a Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP)
What is a Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP)?
A DIAP is a plan that will help M16 Artspace:
Be more accessible – for example, making sure our building, programs, and information can be used by everyone.
Make people feel welcome – so that when people come to M16 Artspace, they are treated with respect, kindness, and feel like they belong.
Include people with disability in all parts of our work – this means inviting people with disability to be artists, visitors, workers, board members, and decision-makers.
Remove barriers – finding out what makes it hard for people to join in, and fixing it, so everyone can be included.
How can you take part?
M16 Community Accessibility Survey
We want to make M16 Artspace a place where everyone feels welcome and included. This survey is for our community – artists, visitors, and partners.
Your answers will help us write our new Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). This plan will help us:
Be more accessible
Make people feel welcome
Include people with disability in all parts of our work
Remove barriers to participation.
There are 14 questions in this survey and it will take about 10 minutes to complete. There are no right or wrong answers – we just want your honest thoughts. All answers are anonymous (your name will not be shared).
If you need the survey in another format, or would like to give feedback by phone or email, please contact Morwenna Collett on morwennacollett@gmail.com
Please complete this survey by 5pm, 17 October 2025.
Your feedback will help us make M16 Artspace a more open and welcoming place for everyone. Thank you for your time and ideas
M16 Community Accessibility Interviews
If you are a person living with a disability, we would love to talk to you!
Interviews will be led by Morwenna Collett, who is an Access Consultant helping M16 Artspace write the DIAP.
You can tell us if you can come by sending an email to: office@m16artspace.com or telling us in person at M16 Artspace. Once we have your details, we will send you a Zoom link to join the online interview. You can bring a support person to join you at the interview if you like.
M16 Community Accessibility Focus Groups
We would like you to share your ideas with us in a focus group.
A focus group is a small meeting where people come together to share their ideas and experiences about a topic.
The group talks, listens to each other, and gives feedback to help make decisions or plans.
In the focus group, you can tell us:
How long have you been coming to the M16 Artspace?
What do you do when you visit M16 Artspace?
What is good about being at M16 Artspace? Do they meet your access needs?
Is there anything that doesn’t work well when you come to M16 Artspace?
Your ideas for how M16 Artspace can be better for everyone in the future.
When will the focus group happen?
There are 2 focus group sessions. Both sessions will happen online on Zoom.
You can choose to come to one of these sessions:
Tuesday 10 February 2026 from 2-4pm
Wednesday 11 February 2026 from 5.30-7.30pm
The sessions will be led by Morwenna Collett, who is an Access Consultant helping M16 Artspace write the DIAP.
You can bring a support person to join you at the focus group if you like.
You can tell us if you can come by sending an email to: office@m16artspace.com or telling us in person at M16 Artspace. Once we have your details, we will send you a Zoom link to join the online focus group.
What will happen after the survey, interviews and focus groups?
Your ideas from the focus groups will help us write the Plan.
The plan will help M16 Artspace for the next 3 years, so it is important your voices are included. Your ideas will help make M16 Artspace a more welcoming place for everyone.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experience.
