M16 Artspace is pleased to announce the unique opportunity to exhibit with us, free from gallery hire fees.

We welcome proposals from all cultural producers, including artists, collectives, collaborators, writers, and curators at all career levels. Proposals for exhibitions could include painting, sculpture, installation, sound, performance, film, and video works; supported by talks, reading groups, artist interviews, writing, classes, and panel discussions.

We strongly encourage applications from First Nations artists, d/Deaf and disabled artists, and artists of different genders, sexualities and cultural backgrounds.



Our successful applicant will be exhibiting in Gallery 3, during Block 6 of our program. Installation will begin on June 6th, with the exhibitions opening on June 8th and running from June 9th through to July 2nd.

Gallery 3 is 21.8 linear meters of wall space, with a floor-to-ceiling height of 2.7 meters. It’s ideal for artists wishing to exhibit 2D or object-based work.

Applications close Sunday May 21st at 11.59pm AEST.
