Felicity Green, Colin Grant, curated by Alva Maguire

21 May - 6 June 2021

ILLUMINATIONS provides a forum for the comparison of two artists working in similar yet contrasting structures. Colin Grant is a trained oil painter whose often larger-than-life canvases depict natural scenes in vivid detail. Concerned with the possibilities in the intersection of grand and minute depictions, his works often focus on the representational and the illusionistic. Felicity Green is a landscape artist who paints in an ephemeral style. Her works are often surreal, seeking to evoke an internal landscape akin to a dream within a painting. ILLUMINATIONS allows a direct collation of Grant and Green’s works, displaying pairs of paintings side-by-side.
