Liam Fallon
30 April - 16 May 2021
Transmission, the latest body of work by Liam Fallon, seeks to explore the construction of narrative through often-overlooked remnants of suburban life. Through portraying the overlooked, hidden and ignored aspects of the Australian urban landscape, Fallonโs works highlight the stories held within ubiquitous household items.
All works within Transmission have been captured in situ, in no more than a handful of sessions. In this regard, Fallonโs creative process enables the paintings to become records of time. As the artist interacts with items over a short period of time, clarity and connectedness emerges. The paintings themselves hold character and preserve a moment of interaction between artist and object.
