Hands On Studio / by Kirrily Jordan

Hands On Studio, located at M16 Artspace, is a creative art program ran by Catholic Care. It provides individuals with varying abilities access to the community through art making per week.

In the studio 11 classes are taught per week using the “person centred approach”, this approach gives the students the opportunity to explore their creativity thoroughly. The person centred approach provides the choice of working independently or in collaboration with their peers and tutor to complete desired projects. All of the students at Hands On Studio are supported to regularly contribute their artwork to exhibitions locally and interstate and to collaborate with other creative institutions and artists to assist them in meeting their creative needs.
