Bespoke Utopia

M16 Artspace is accepting EOI’s from artists and designers to exhibit with us in our curated exhibition, Bespoke Utopia, as a part of the 2026 Craft + Design Festival

Bespoke Utopia presents local artists embracing slow design — grounded in care, material knowledge and long-term thinking. Linking global design conversations with Canberra’s craft history, the exhibition encourages audiences to consider how design shapes everyday life and how creative choices can challenge fast, disposable production models.

How to apply

Proposals are invited from curators and artists working in the Canberra region, interstate and internationally.

To be considered for an exhibition at M16 Artspace you must submit an exhibition proposal through the online form.

We encourage all applicants to download our Exhibition Application Info Pack before starting the application process. This pack provides guidance on the application process, terms of exhibiting, and answers to frequently asked questions to assist you in preparing your submission.

Applications in flexible formats or languages will be accommodated wherever possible. M16 Artspace will accept applications from artists with a disability in video or word doc format. M16 Artspace staff are also able to print the application form at the office upon request.

Please join our mailing list to stay up to date on proposal rounds.
