On the Map, is an exhibition studioMAP young art students, displaying paintings, illustrations and drawings, displayed as a kaleidoscope of individual visual art accomplishments.

On the Map is part of studioMAP's thirty year anniversary. Founding artist, educator and director of studioMAP, Jeffree Skewes had an inspired vision to establish a community access art studio dedicated to young people. Using the analogy of a map he declared in 1995 'a map is a visual device used to find one's way...

Skewes went on to base the ethos and curriculum designed to support that notion. At studioMAP you can indeed find your way artistically with a map!

Thirty years later studioMAP well and truly on the map!

studioMAP teaches painting, drawing and illustration classes for children and teens, supported by the enduring Art-wit-a-Map curriculum. Students attend weekly classes based on school terms.
