Before 30 June, you can help ensure that art at M16 stays accessible, ambitious, and open to everyone. 

For over 40 years, M16 Artspace has been at the heart of Canberra’s creative community. It’s where artists experiment, stories are shared, and people connect through art. 

Each year, we platform hundreds of artists and welcome thousands of visitors across our galleries, studios, and programs. With your generous support, in 2025 we supported 702 exhibiting artists to deliver 51 exhibitions across our galleries and spaces and welcome over 5,000 visitors. With your help we’ve also invested in new programs, celebrated our 40th anniversary, and expanded opportunities for emerging, First Nations, and diverse artists. 

To keep that energy going, and to keep pace with how artists work today, we need to upgrade the tools behind the scenes.

Our goal is to raise $6,000

This June, we’re raising $6,000 to upgrade essential exhibition equipment and technology. 

Your support will help us:

  • improve lighting and display systems so artwork is seen at its best 

  • upgrade digital tools for multimedia and contemporary work 

  • introduce hearing equipment to make exhibitions more accessible 


These are practical upgrades. Small in scale, but critical for what artists can create and what audiences can experience

Donations over $50 are recognised on our donor screen in the M16 foyer for one year.

This isn’t about maintaining a building. It’s about backing creativity, community, and culture for the long term. 

We’ve strengthened programs, supported artists, and made M16 more inclusive this past year. But we can’t do the next step without you.
