In essence the Collector's Raffle is a fundraiser for M16 where the artist gets paid for the work and M16 raises money to help with its general operational and administration costs.

Tony Curran is a Canberra-based emerging artist working between the traditions of life-drawing and digital algorithmic art making. His works result in small to medium scale paintings, drawings on paper and digital video and computer programs. Curran has been a finalist in the Archibald Prize, the Brett Whiteley Travelling Scholarship and has had his work shown in the S. H. Ervin Gallery in Sydney and the National Portrait Gallery here in Canberra. Curran holds a PhD in Fine Art from Charles Sturt University.
